In
general, leaves have five functional. They are photosynthesis, breathing organ,
transpiration, guttation, and vegetative multiplying. First, they are the place
for photosynthesis process. Photosynthesis is process by which green plants
convert carbon dioxide and water into food using energy from sunlight. Second,
they are as breathing organ, because there is hidatoda in the leaves. Hidatoda
is very important for respiration process in the leaves, because it is used to breath. Third, they are
for transpiration place. Transpiration is process to loose the water steam
because evaporation process by leave surface. Fourth, they are used for guttation.
Guttattion is process to loose plenty of water which is in the edge of the
leaves. This process will be happen when the transpiration process can’t work
effectively. Fifth, they are used for vegetative multiplying. Vegetative
multiplying is process asexually reproduction. So, they don’t need another
plant to multiply. There are two kinds of vegetative, they are natural
vegetative and artificial vegetative. Natural vegetative is a asexually
reproduction which happens without involves
by human. For example in a tuber plant. It is very different with
artificial vegetative which needs people involving.
